We are RaeLynn and Kassidy, a mother and daughter super duo who are also super excited that you’ve come to visit our website and hopefully, have found some free crochet patterns that you love!
Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.
My name is Kassidy and I’ve always loved crafting!
I even started my own slime business in elementary school. I made a few sales, but it didn’t go far and I eventually gave that up. 😂
I am currently a crocheter in the making!
I’ve completely fallen in love with amigumuri and can’t stop making lots of plushies and toys!
I started The Free Crochet Family in 2020 as a way to tap into my crafting side.
My mom is RaeLynn of Itchin’ for some Stitchin’ and although I loved modeling for her (check out her photos, you’ll see a LOT of me! LOL), I really wanted to do something more.
In my hunt for amigumuri crochet patterns, I decided it would be a great idea to create my own site of free crochet resources and patterns.
That way crocheters of all experience levels can find some awesome free crochet patterns and designers had a place to share their gorgeous crochet works.
It’s a win win!
Fast forward three years and I have just graduated high school and will be heading off to college.
As much as I love crochet and crafting, it will unfortunately have to take a back seat (for now) to my studies in Biomedical Science.
I am leaving The Free Crochet Family in my mom’s capable hands!
I am RaeLynn, the blogger and crochet designer behind Itchin’ for some Stitchin’ where I share my passion for crochet by providing tutorials & tips, as well as, simple, smart, and stylish patterns.
I also teach crochet! You can find my courses on my website under, The Crochet Academy.
Over the last ten years, I have developed some amazing friendships with some absolutely fabulous crocheters and crochet designers!
I’ve seriously never met a kinder more helpful group of people.
In fact, to me, many of them feel more like family than friends – indeed, they are my crochet family!
So, when my daughter Kassidy expressed an interest in my work, both as a blogger and designer, we decided to do something together that would support our larger crochet family.
Thus, The Free Crochet Family was born!
To me, just as my family is an extension of myself, The Free Crochet Family is an extension of Itchin’ for some Stitchin’.
I am so grateful to now have my wonderful daughter as part of my crochet family too!
Since taking over The Free Crochet Family in 2023, I plan to add my own special touch through informative articles, collaboration posts, and more!
