This is a soothing, beginner-friendly preemie blanket crochet pattern. The Lullabies Blanket is designed to meet the donation requirements of the Joan Schick Blanket Project, an organization that distributes handmade blankets to neonatal intensive care units in New Jersey. (Both the Large Preemie and Baby Blanket sizes meet the donation requirements.)
Skills Used
Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch
Crocheting flat in rows (for center of blanket) and crocheting the round (for borders)

WeCrochet Brava 500 yarn (100% acrylic, 17.5 oz/500 g/1,090 yd/996.5 m) in 28311 Peacock – 1 (2, 2) skeins, or approximately 660 yd (1,485 yd, 2,139 yd)/548.5 m (1,358 m, 1,956 m) in any medium weight yarn.
WeCrochet Bright I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Clover Quick Locking Stitch Markers.
Clover bent-tip yarn needles.
Gauge
13 dc = 4” (10 cm) across. Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
